Supported by a donation from the Washington FSC (WFSC), the CSF is inviting applications from qualifying level (Juvenile and above) skaters, with an emphasis on financial need, to be the recipients of the Beverly Kimes scholarship. Bev Kimes, a renowned skater, judge, and referee, was a tireless advocate for and promoter of skating in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She was also a generous benefactor for many, many years to a number of skaters in need in the Washington area. In her will, she left a generous bequest to continue this longstanding tradition, and now, with a donation from the WFSC in Bev’s name, the CSF will be awarding Kimes Scholarship grants of $1000 each to three skaters per year.

The Capitol Skating Fund At Work
The Capitol Skating Fund has been a source of sustaining support for the Kids on Ice program at Fort Dupont since 1989. We have partnered in many ways over the years to provide funds for programs and staffing for benefit inner city kids. We have donated over $150,000 since the beginning of our partnership, but recognize there is much more work to be done to keep Kids on Ice funded and to extend its reach. Please help us continue our work that benefits so many young people.
